... involves Michael Schumacher but not as the protagonist.
This is a wonderful 2 min 36 second video. The actual overtake does not happen for 2 minutes and 30 second. (People in hurry can directly go to the second video in this post.)
Formula1 fans, stick with me. You are in Spa, Belgium. You are in a winner (McLaren was that year). You are Mika Hakkinen. You are behind Michael Schumacher. This is as good as it gets.
At the 33rd second in the video, you see Mika give it a go and almost makes it but does not time it well enough to make it into the curve and backs out.
You can also hear him think over the beautiful sound of the Mercedes engine.
At a minute and 50 seconds, he spots Ricardo Zonta going into the left chicane. Then he waits like a cat would, letting minor chicanes and an uphill curve go by. He knows exactly the spot he would overtake the Honda. He knows Michael. He knows Michael favors the left, so in one searing move, overtakes both Zonta and Michael.
I can imagine Michael's elation at his own overtake followed by the horror of discovering Mika a few inches ahead. If you notice carefully, you can see the Ferrari startle ...
Now imagine being Zonta. It is like what the deer feels at the end of the day on a *successful* hunting expedition.
