On the way back from Hotel Mango Tree on day one, we took a little dusty trail to an overhang. All we saw were a blank basalt until Shivraj splashed (mineral) water on a barren rock and several reddish brown figures emerged as if by magic. A horse, a scorpion, a faint outline of a man, a dance?
My first pre-historic drawings!! Dated back to 8000 BC.
And the thought that kept haunting me was - they missed Hampi :).
The haunting part was ... what am I missing?
Tip: Carry three four bottles of non-mineral water. The wetter the wall, the better they photograph.
