On both days we ended up eating at Mango tree. Mango tree is situated on a small hilllock with the gentle slope towards Tungabhadra converted into terraces used as seating rooms. A huge mango tree cuts away the harsh sun allowing weary traveler to lean against granite tiles and look around.
If the view is not to kill for, the menu is. It serves a wide variety - Indian (South and north), Italian (spaghettis and pasta), Mediterranean (Humus and pita) and continental. The prices are extremely reasonable. The service is home-like.

I ate eggplant curry (Brinjal spicy masala), with the Indian flatbread (chappatis) with a side of cut cucumbers garnished with chaat masala, raw onions sprinkled with lemon, a big bowl of curd and a lump of spicy pickles. I had a mint-harbenero-ginger-cilantro laced buttermilk as a coolant.
